Celebrating Lifelong Learning Week: Encouraging development in your employees

It’s Lifelong Learning Week!

Celebrated every year in early November, Lifelong Learning Week gives us a moment to celebrate the power of continuous education and personal growth. It’s a time to recognise that learning is not confined to schools or universities; it’s a lifelong journey that lets us sharpen our skills and continue to improve ourselves in our personal and professional lives.

As a provider of high-quality training programs to companies of all sizes, we believe that education is one of the most important resources an employer can take advantage of. From onboarding and continuous training on new technologies to encouraging professional development and skills assessments, Educ8 Training takes Life Long Learning very seriously.

We believe that any new starter requires training, no matter their experience in the role. Making sure that employees have a robust onboarding experience that introduces them into the company and ensures they understand the systems and workflows that are already in place, sets them up for success.

Embracing new technologies that can set you apart in your industry is something that you should always be considering. But simply throwing your employees into the deep end isn’t the best way to go about it. Investing in high quality training courses to cover the latest technologies like integrating AI into your workflow, or even skills like Critical Thinking or Project Management can give you an edge over your competition.

Of course, as an apprenticeship provider, we think that one of the best ways to continue your education, is through an apprenticeship! We encourage all of our staff to upskill themselves with some of the many apprenticeships that we offer. At our Gradu8 ceremony back in September, many of the graduates collecting a scroll in their cap and gown were our own Educ8 staff!

Here’s what Taryn Jones, our HR Administrator/Receptionist had to say about her time doing a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship:

“Lifelong learning is the foundation of personal and professional growth, and being at the Gradu8 ceremony was truly inspiring. Continuing to learn not only empowers me and my personal growth, but also brings valuable skills and fresh perspectives that benefit our team here at Educ8 and contributes to driving the success of our organisation.”
